These Terms govern your use of GENO Services ("the Service"). By creating an account or submitting an application, you accept these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
1. Eligibility
The Service is intended for use by people aged 16 or older. Employers must use the Service only on behalf of a legally registered organization and have authority to act for that organization.
2. Accounts
- You are responsible for activity that occurs under your account.
- You must provide accurate information and keep your email, password, and connected OAuth identities secure.
- We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms, abuse the Service, or pose security risks.
3. Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- Post job listings or content that are unlawful, discriminatory, fraudulent, or designed to mislead applicants;
- Upload malware, attempt to bypass document scanning, or probe the Service for vulnerabilities outside an authorized disclosure programme;
- Use scraping or automation to extract candidate or job data beyond what the public API and your role permit;
- Misrepresent your identity, qualifications, or employment history in an application.
4. Applicant Content
You retain ownership of CVs, cover letters, and other content you upload. You grant GENO Services a limited licence to host, index, scan for malware, and share that content with employers you apply to, solely to operate the Service.
5. Employer Obligations
- Employers must process applicant data lawfully and only for the role applied to, unless the applicant has granted broader consent.
- Employers must honour data-subject requests forwarded by GENO Services (access, deletion, rectification).
- Employers are responsible for the lawfulness of background checks, references, and downstream decisions made on the basis of applications received via the Service.
6. Service Availability
The Service is provided "as is". We aim for high availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted operation. We may schedule maintenance and roll out changes that affect features and URLs.
7. Fees
Use of the Service may require a paid subscription. Pricing, billing terms, and refund policy are described on the pricing page or in the customer order form.
8. Termination
Either party may terminate an account at any time. On termination we will delete or anonymize personal data in line with our Privacy Policy, subject to legal retention obligations.
9. Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, GENO Services is not liable for indirect or consequential losses, lost profits, or lost opportunity arising from use of the Service. Our aggregate liability is capped at the fees paid by the customer in the 12 months preceding the claim.
10. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction indicated in your customer order form, or — for free / public use — England and Wales. Courts of that jurisdiction have exclusive jurisdiction over disputes.
11. Changes
Material changes will be notified by email or in-product notice at least 30 days before they take effect. The current version is dated at the top of this page.
